About the data

On the numbers. Baseline verified 3 August 2026. Every company carries a sourced, dated valuation, cited in the detail panel. The July pass changed 68 seeded figures (Micron $200B→$978B, xAI $1,250B→$250B); the August pass sourced the rest and enforced the rules — acquisitions became divisions (W&B→CoreWeave, Celestial→Marvell, Replicate→Cloudflare at $57M per SEC filing, against $350–550M rumors), and marks below the $100M floor left the map. verified = public market cap or a dated primary report of a named round; reported = secondary source; an amber halo means the best available mark is over a year old — honest but stale. Public caps refresh each weekday from a price feed that owns the valuation_live field.

On the edges. The relationships are the point — they are what no category grid gives you, and they are also the part that cannot be scraped. Thirteen typed relations (live count in the header); edges added since the August 2026 baseline each carry a confidence level and a citation URL, and uncited edges render faded. One entity (Rad AI) still has no edges: its only relationships are health-system investors outside this map’s scope. That gap is visible on purpose.
