Builds co-packaged optics that integrate directly into a GPU package and near-packaged optics that sit on the board beside it, plus pluggable transceivers - all on LumiCore, an in-house platform spanning silicon photonics, mixed-signal ICs, electrical-optical interposers and optical systems. Founded in early 2024 by Ankur Singla, previously founder of Contrail Systems (sold to Juniper) and Volterra (sold to F5). Says its first scale-out product is already shipping into production AI data centres under a multi-billion-dollar customer agreement, though the customer is not named. The $5.51B is the weak leg: the company release announces the funding total and does not state a post-money.
