Everything on the map is free to download and reuse: 213 companies and 413 relationships, each with a source and an as-of date. Updated daily; this snapshot is from 19 October 2026.

Licence

Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 (CC BY 4.0). Use it for anything, including commercially, as long as you credit the source. Suggested credit: Source: State of AI World, stateofai.world, as of 2026-10-19. When you cite one company, link its page, for example stateofai.world/c/anthropic.

Files

• entities.csv - Companies: one row per company or division, with valuation, confidence, as-of date, primary source and page URL.
• relations.csv - Relationships: one row per edge, with its type, how it reads, confidence and source URL.
• entities.json - Companies, full record: every source, notes, ticker. The file the map itself reads.
• relations.json - Relationships, full record.
• history.json - Daily valuation snapshots for every company since 27 July 2026.
• removed.json - Companies removed from the map, with the date and the reason.

The files are plain static files, so any script or AI agent can fetch them directly. The same files are mirrored daily to GitHub, with a citation file. Field names are stable: new fields may be added, existing ones are not renamed or removed without notice here.

How to read it

• valuation is in millions of US dollars. For a listed company it is the market capitalisation, refreshed every weekday from the market price; for a private company it is the latest dated mark from a named round or report.
• confidence is verified (market price, or a named round with a dated primary report), reported (secondary source) or unsourced.
• as_of is the date of the fact, not the date we checked it.
• Divisions (Google DeepMind, AWS Bedrock and so on) carry no valuation: their value sits in the parent company.
