Notes

London company (founded 2017) building end-to-end embodied AI for driving: one learned driving model rather than a stack of hand-written rules and HD maps, licensed to carmakers and fleets rather than run as a robotaxi service of its own. The $1.2B Series D announced 2026-02-24 at an $8.6B post-money was led by Eclipse, Balderton and SoftBank Vision Fund 2, with NVIDIA, Microsoft and Uber in and the carmakers Mercedes-Benz, Nissan and Stellantis participating; Uber committed up to a further $300M of milestone-based capital, which is why the company's own release puts the round at $1.5B. Total capital raised is about $2.6B. An $85M employee tender in June 2026 transacted at the same $8.6B, so the February mark is still the live one. It is one of the most valuable AI companies in Europe and had never been on this map.
