Enterprise agentic software development: Droids are autonomous coding agents aimed at engineering organisations rather than individual developers, running across IDEs, terminal, Slack, Linear and CI/CD and spanning code review, security, testing, documentation and incident response. Deliberately model- and interface-agnostic - Droids run on any frontier model and deploy to cloud, self-hosted or air-gapped environments, with FedRAMP authorisation being pursued for government work. Founded 2023 by Matan Grinberg and Eno Reyes; named customers include NVIDIA, Adobe, Palo Alto Networks, T-Mobile, Royal Bank of Canada and Blackstone, which is also an investor. Its rivalry with Cognition turned public in September 2026 when Grinberg said on X that he had removed VC Chris Degnan as a board adviser for confiding in "our largest competitor"; Degnan joined Cognition as chief revenue officer two hours later and denies sharing anything confidential.
