AI research lab whose bet is that the scaling bill is a software problem. It is building what its founders call the world's most complete megakernel framework, which fuses a whole training run, inference serving and other work into a single GPU kernel so the chip spends less time idle, and which it says can run all three at once; the longer-term aim is models that learn from far less data and compute. Founded in late 2025 by the brothers Ben Spector (CEO) and Asher Spector with Aidan Smith, and introduced publicly in early 2026 with a $180M seed from GV, Sequoia and Index at a $1.5B mark. The $6B here is the Series A price and is REPORTED, not disclosed: Bloomberg reported it first on 2026-10-21 and TechCrunch and others carry it, while the company has confirmed the $1B round and its co-leads, Index Ventures and Lux Capital, but not the valuation. Sequoia, GV and Kleiner Perkins are reported as returning backers and Valor, A*, Atreides and NVIDIA are named among its investors without the coverage saying which round each joined. There is no product on sale and no published performance result behind the megakernel claim.
