Notes

Aerospace and AI conglomerate. Absorbed xAI (Grok, Colossus, X) in an all-stock merger on Feb 2 2026, bought Cursor for $60B in Aug 2026, and listed on Nasdaq as SPCX on Jun 12 2026 at a ~$2.1T debut cap. The FT reported on 2026-10-06 that it is seeking about $40B of financing to buy NVIDIA chips for xAI's Colossus 2 - roughly $10B of bank loans plus $30B of investment-grade debt, led and syndicated by Apollo with Pimco among the lenders in talks, secured on the chips themselves and expected to close in 2027. Talks, not terms: Apollo declined to comment and NVIDIA did not respond. It is the fourth compute-financing structure of this shape the map has recorded in a fortnight, after Broadcom's $60B syndicate behind Anthropic's TPU lease, Lambda's $1B investment-grade term loan and Amazon's reported $8B GPU sale-and-leaseback - AI compute funded against offtaker credit and moved off the buyer's balance sheet. Its own IPO registration statement is what prices the Anthropic compute relationship the map carries from the other side: SpaceX disclosed a cloud services agreement signed 2026-05-03 under which Anthropic pays $1.25B a month for access to Colossus and Colossus II capacity through May 2029 - more than $40B over the full term, terminable by either side on 90 days' notice - and Anthropic confirmed the monthly figure publicly.
