Held talks in late September 2026 with investors about selling about $8B of NVIDIA Grace Blackwell chips into an off-balance-sheet SPV and leasing them back, keeping the GPUs in AWS data centres - thousands of units across more than a dozen US sites - with Amazon offering up to a 10% equity stake in the vehicle and retaining no ownership, and investors expecting an investment-grade rating off its double-A credit (FT, 2026-10-02). Talks, no terms; capex is guided to about $220B this year. In talks to acquire Decart for around $7B (WSJ, 2026-10-11) - now a node on the map - whose DOS layer lets developers run AI workloads across NVIDIA GPUs, Google TPUs or Amazon's own Trainium without rebuilding for each, plus the Lucy real-time video model and the Oasis world-model simulator. Nothing is signed and another bidder could emerge; Anthropic walked away from its own Decart deal, explored at about $6B in August, after due diligence.
