2026-10-28 - Meta's chip suppliers line up to buy Meta's shares

Meta is raising about $97.5B to pay for next year's data centres, and three of the companies it buys chips from said yesterday they want a piece of it: NVIDIA $3B, AMD $1B, Broadcom an unnamed amount. It is the clearest case yet of what critics call circular financing, a supplier funding the customer who then spends the money on the supplier's chips. Meta's filing calls those pledges non-binding, so the map does not draw them as stakes. The same AMD announcement did settle something real: its Helios racks are installed and under test inside Meta, closing a map gap open since February.
