2026-10-11 — Ask who had to disclose it

Two more of the companies that actually own the buildings joined the map today. TeraWulf and IREN both began life mining bitcoin; both now rent their power and their floor space to the biggest names in AI, and between them they carry contracts worth more than $30B. The more useful thing the day produced was not a company at all but a habit. The atlas has been marking seven of Anthropic's enormous compute commitments as merely "reported" for a fortnight, on the grounds that Anthropic's own stock-market prospectus has still not been filed in public. But SpaceX — which is listed, and therefore has to tell its shareholders things — wrote one of those contracts into its own filing months ago: Anthropic pays it $1.25B a month, through May 2029. The lesson is cheap and general. When a fact involves a public company, ask what that company was obliged to publish before concluding nobody has published it.

Nothing the map carries was repriced. Every watchlist round re-checked today is still in talks; see below.

Two entities were added, both with live tickers rather than hand-researched valuations.

TeraWulf (WULF, Nasdaq) at $6,870M. It carries the largest single lease on the map by contract value: a 20-year lease of the whole 401 MW Hawesville, Kentucky campus to Anthropic, signed 2026-07-06 and expected to produce about $19B of contracted revenue over the initial term, with two five-year renewal options that could run it to thirty years (8-K Exhibit 99.1, DCD). At its Lake Mariner campus in New York it leases more than 200 MW to Fluidstack, expanded twice to roughly $16B of potential contracted revenue, with Alphabet backstopping about $4.5B of Fluidstack's obligations.

IREN (IREN, Nasdaq) at $13,870M. An Australian company running GPU capacity at Childress, Texas, on two contracts it published itself: about $9.7B over five years with Microsoft for NVIDIA GB300 capacity across four buildings, 20% prepaid (company release, 2025-11-03), and about $3.4B over five years with NVIDIA itself, for NVIDIA's own internal AI and research work (company release, 2026-05-07). NVIDIA is simultaneously its chip supplier, a paying customer, and — through a five-year right to buy up to 30 million shares at $70 — a prospective shareholder.

Both valuations are hand seeds read off quoted market caps at Friday's close, because the ticker cron does not run on Sundays. Monday evening's run replaces them.
