2026-10-01 — ElevenLabs doubles without raising a dollar, and the wires between the chips come onto the map

ElevenLabs told the world on Wednesday that it had closed a $300 million tender offer pricing it at $22 billion — double its February mark, reached in seven months, and achieved without the company taking in any new money. A tender lets employees and early backers sell existing shares to incoming investors, here Wellington and T. Rowe Price, so it values the business without funding it. That is the day's clean fact. The day's larger finding came from a search that went wrong: chasing a company named in the news feed turned up a different one entirely, and pulling that thread opened a layer of the AI build-out this map had written about but never actually gone looking at — the interconnects, the optical and electrical plumbing that moves data between chips once a single chip is no longer big enough. Three companies worth a combined $9.5 billion were sitting there, funded between January and September, with eight investor relationships to firms already on the map. All three are now on it.

Marks moved

ElevenLabs$11B → $22B verified

$300M employee-and-investor tender offer closed 2026-09-30, led by Wellington and T. Rowe Price, at double the February Series D mark. A secondary sale of existing stock, not a raise. Enterprise is now 55% of revenue; ElevenAgents handles 15M+ conversations a week. Company blog, Reuters

Eliyan(new) → $1B reported

$145M Series C closed 2026-07-29 led by Seligman Ventures, with Cisco Investments and Lumentum new; ~$295M raised in total. Chiplet interconnect on standard packaging. Company release via Intel Capital, HPCwire

Lumilens(new) → $5.51B reported

$700M+ Series C, out of stealth 2026-08-06 on more than $900M total, co-led by Atreides, Bain Capital Ventures, Meritech, Seligman and Spark. Co-packaged and near-packaged optics. The release states the funding total and no post-money. Company release, SiliconANGLE

Celero Communications(new) → $3B reported

$275M Series C announced 2026-09-08 led by Atreides, Valor Equity Partners and CapitalG; $415M raised in total, after validating a 2nm coherent DSP. The mark is a floor — every source says "more than $3 billion" and none states a figure. Company release, OCBJ

The ElevenLabs move is worth separating from the pattern of the last month. Almost every big number on this map lately has been talk — OpenAI at $1.4 trillion, Anthropic above $2 trillion, Shield AI at $20 billion, Baseten at $26 billion and now reportedly $37 billion. None has priced. ElevenLabs priced, on its own blog, with named buyers. It is also the rarer kind of pricing: nobody wrote the company a cheque. Compare Canva, whose employee share issuance last year marked it down to about $31 billion. A tender is a market in existing shares, and it can cut either way.

New edges

Eliyan's five edges are the sharpest instance yet of a rule this map wrote down four days ago after nearly missing Positron: when a company's newest round has no investor you recognise, read the round before it. Eliyan's Series C investors are all funds. The round before it was almost nothing but strategics — Intel, Samsung, AMD, Arm, Meta and Coherent, $50 million between them, announced in January. An investor does not leave the cap table when a new round prices, and the map only ever needed one.
